Situated in the heart of the Fenway district, Van Ness is a mixed-use development designed to meet the demands of a dynamic live, work, play neighborhood. Anchored by a City Target, this development includes 200,000 SF of retail, 237,000 SF of Class A office and 172 luxury residences. VHB provided permitting, transportation and site/civil engineering services. The development’s success hinged on transportation improvements which made the project feasible. VHB worked with the developer and the City of Boston on circulation improvements and the development of a new street, Richard B. Ross Way, completing the long-term Fenway Neighborhood master plan. In addition, we worked closely with Target to address their requirements for materials management and integrated multiple loading docks into a tight urban site.
