This retail destination is a boutique shopping center with excellent street visibility. Located in a region with a strong household income of $100,000+ within a three-mile radius, this center features in-line retail shops and restaurants, including Starbucks, Chipotle, Orange Theory Fitness and AT&T. To achieve development goals, VHB worked with the team and local stakeholders to widen the connector road to enhance access to this property and support the project’s density. Critical infrastructure improvements included a stormwater infiltration system for the street which solved long-standing flooding issues for the city. In addition, our team designed low impact development measures within the project site, including raingardens and surface detention infiltration systems to remove stormwater from the state’s system. These measures enabled us to secure relief from zoning to reduce parking requirements and maximize the gross leasable area.
